Positive Futures

Action For Jobs Blackpool

What is Positive Futures?

Positive Futures – Action For Jobs Blackpool –  is a project dedicated to delivering support for people in Blackpool who are looking to develop their skills and gain experience to upscale their employability. For instance, we can help you to access education, training courses, or find a paid work position. Additionally, we can work with you to find ways to help boost your general health and wellbeing to reach your full potential.

Through creating a personal action plan, we will identify any barriers that you may face in everyday life to be able to focus on taking positive steps forward. We can support you in many ways: by creating an effective CV, working on interview skills, confidence building, help to access courses, job searches, and lots more!

Who can join?

You can enrol onto this project if you are:
• 18+
• Not in paid work or education; Unemployed or economically inactive
• Residents of Blackpool
• Not enrolled in any other similar European Social Fund programme

How does it work?

To begin with, we will allocate you a Keyworker who will work and support you on a regular 1-1 basis.

(PLEASE NOTE WE ARE WORKING REMOTELY IN LINE WITH COVID GUIDELINES; THEREFORE ALL MEETINGS WILL BE VIRTUALLY UNTIL WE CAN MEET FACE TO FACE).

It will be entirely bespoke and relevant to your individual requirements and circumstances. In fact, you will lead your journey and we will support and guide you in whatever way we can.
We will break down big goals and create small targets to lead you onto the path of success. However, if you do not have any clear aspirations, hopes, and dreams, we will help you to make your plans clearer as well as a reality.
